Relationship Coaching -
How it works.
Relationship coaching, using the TogetherTogether
model, is carried out with discretion and
confidentiality in the comfort and convenience of your
own home. You will be visited by your coach at a time
that is mutually agreed. Normal sessions will last one
and a half hours, though 'intensive' sessions are also
available and which last half a day. During a session
you can expect time to be given for you to speak
together and also time for each of you to speak
one-to-one with your coach.
Sessions are likely to be open, honest, emotional and
possibly intimate. All that is asked is that each
partner is prepared to be open and honest.
Confidentiality is assured throughout and partners are
free to express or explore any thoughts, feelings or
goals they may have.
In addition to the face-to-face sessions, clients may
be required to perform tasks during the week. Such tasks
may be observational or practical or even experimental
and are intended to help the couple explore ways of
improving their relationship.
Relationship coaching is an on-going process. Often,
the very first session is 'eye-opening' or 'empowering'
for a couple and it often gives a great boost and
insight into how a relationship can be improved.
However, miracles cannot be expected overnight so
relationship coaching provides partners with a series of
sessions. These sessions may continue for as long as
there is a need and for as long as benefits are being
gained. Clients are free to end or 'put on hold' the
sessions at anytime.
At some point, clients may no longer feel the need
for face-to-face support and can opt for support by
telephone calls only. The TogetherTogether approach is
intended to be both supportive and flexible to meet the
needs of clients. |
