eHarmony
eHarmony is almost unique among dating sites in
that it claims to use psychological profiling to aid the matchmaking
process.
The upside of this is that you are using a system
which has a tested track record. The downside is that it takes a long time
to complete the profile. Thankfully, you do not have to fill in the whole
profile in one go, you can log in again a few times to complete it. In all
it takes about 40 minutes to complete. This is more a
matchmaking site than a chat or dating site. They claim to use your profile
to find people who match you on a deeper or more personal level. This is
probably a good thing and it is certainly a change from the superficial
approach of some other sites. You may
detect a slight religious atmosphere about some of the questions. This, we
guess, is to be expected. After all, if you hold strong religious beliefs
then they are part of your personality and you would want to meet someone
with similar beliefs and practices. How much do
you pay ? You become a free member as
soon as you have completed your profile. This allows you upto 10 free
matches with compatible members. After that, 1 month membership costs
just less then $50 but that includes a free analysis of your profile which,
they say, might normally cost $40. A 3 month membership costs about $100.
We know the cost of membership sounds quite high
but remember that you are paying for a quality professional service. Also
consider that your personality profile may well find you an ideal match
within just 3 months, in which case it will have been a lot cheaper than
conventional sites.
So if you are looking for a new and professional
approach to matchmaking online, give eHarmony a try.
If you are Christian, or even if you are not,
eHarmony may well be the best place for you. |
